The idea was to evoke Christmas with a sense of distance, melancholy, as if we wanted to be part of the excitement, but somehow unable to. The musical style harkens back to a certain "new age" or "world beat" genre of the 1990s, trying to be an evocative piece different from the cheerful and cheesy pop songs (which I kinda love) that plague us during the Holiday Season. I think it’s good if you want to close your eyes and escape, far away, but always in a subtle Christmas mood.
