I was going to post on the RIP thread, one of my favourite old school dark electro bands kAlte fArben. So imagine my surprise when I see someone put his unreleased demos for "13 Ways to Commit Suicide", online.
Ingo sent me these demos years ago. I think between 2008-2010.
kAfA was one of the major reasons I started writing my own music in the late 90s (Haujobb was my other main influence, they need a thread too!)

Founded in 1991, this is the industrial rock hybrid brainstorm that is simply known as kAfA. This is the output of one man, Ingo Beitz. kAlte fArben in english is translated to "Cold Colours". And this is entirely fitting to the presented works. kAfA sneaks up on your in the dark, with glitchy experimental openings, noises unbelievably torn out of the bowels of lost synthesizers. Then the tracks really begin, pummeling polyrythms, edgy synth leads, biomechanical guitar the likes that mr. reznor did in his best days. kAlte fArben has no qualms about showing his influence, appreciation of other artists and their music keeps kAfA fresh and original in it's execution.
The new album "13 Ways To Commit Suicide", is the most volatile and precise work to date. Go to the myspace site and check it out. And expect much more groundbreaking and effective music from kAlte fArben from here on out!

Skorbut
Daniel Galda and Joerg Huettner met one another in the so-called "Wagner City" of Bayreuth in 1993. The two musicians played under the influence of experiemental electronic music between 1994-1996 and recorded various demo sessions. At this point there was no thought to actually publish these songs.
At this time, Joerg Huettner was an active member of the bands Relatives Menschsein and Dorsetshire. Daniel Galda was a member of kAlte fArben and made a name for himself as a live musician for Das Ich.
In 1998, Flatline Records took an interest in the Duo's songs, and decided to put the song Fuel on their now legendary Flatline Compilation. The song was a hit for months in underground clubs across Europe and America. As a result, more compilation and sampler contributions followed and the call for a Skorbut release became stronger.
In 2000, Skorbut became a trio. The new man in the group is named Rober Pollich. Robert strengthened Skorbut as a lyricist, live keyboarder and additional vocalist and is thus viewed as a full-time member of the band.
The debut Album Log_In was released in 2001 with the german Label Scanner. This record was exceptionally well received abroad and established itself with songs like 5 Minutes Rhythm or Next Step Of Evolution in the Clubs.
Due to its success, Skorbut decided to begin work on a new Album. In 2003, the band and its label Scanner parted ways. The new label is called Sonic-X and the new CD Access all areas, launched in 2005 continuing the musical journey of Skorbut.
In April 2007 the third album Firewall will be released. Ahead of the release of the full length album Firewall, a pre-release EP 9 Lives Later was made available for download on the Skorbut web site. The band, which is once again a duo, has noticeably progressed musically without losing their roots in their earlier recordings. Firewall demonstrates a great step forward for the band, accompanied by new, sophisticated artwork, photos and logo, which was done in cooperation with well-reknowned photographer Ansgar Noeth. Together, these create a refined and well-rounded Work, which will attract more than just musical attention.

Daniel Galda (singer) met up with Armin Küster (music) during Skorbut. Both experienced musicians, they decided to form a new band as the final Skorbut EP had strayed quite far in terms of sound, and during their last Skorbut tour, in Eastern Europe they also played some of their new songs.
Daniel Galda gained his first experience with professional music production as a student apprentice in a renowned recording studio back in 1993. Before this his activities were restricted to a small home recording setup.
Daniel got his first insight into stage life when he was acquired by Ingo Beitz as a live drummer for his trend-setting project kAlte fArben. As support band kAlte fArben toured with the Goth cult band Das Ich on their "Staub-Tour" across Europe back in 1994. Later Daniel was busy on live keyboards for Das Ich. Between 1994 and 1999 Daniel completed more than 200 gigs with both bands on extensive tours through America and Europe. His name is mentioned on several CDs from kAlte fArben and Das Ich - always in capacity as live keyboardist and stage musician.
Between his activities for the afore named bands, Daniel established the electro/industrial band Skorbut together with Joerg Huettner back in 1996. Several CDs were released under the name Skorbut between 2001 and 2009. During the work on the 2007 Skorbut album Firewall, Daniel became acquainted with Armin Kuester. Armin had produced several remixes for Skorbut before and contributed a song to the Firewall album. In 2009 the club hymn Phantom Pain was created by the Galda/Kuester team. Motivated by the fruitful collaboration Daniel and Armin decided to establish an own project: was born.
