Through unique pixel art animation comes X-RL7, a cyberpunk music adventure. The series follows fictional band X-RL7 as they navigate the trials and tribulations of the infamously difficult music industry. With original music, a cast of wild characters and some serious problems to be solved along the way, this series is an entertaining ride from start to finish.
Creator Mike Evans plays a massive role in the series. Not only is he the writer and animator, but he also voices X-RL7’s frontman Omega and lead guitarist PJ. As someone who’s always been fond of the entertainment industry, I love supporting projects like this one; something super creative and original from the mind of a dedicated creator who’s part of every avenue of the show.
X-RL7 is a unique pixel art styled cyberpunk animation series created by Mike Evans of electronic-rock band MiXE1 and Project Anything. Fuelled by mysterious dream-like visions, follow the enigmatic X-RL7 frontman Omega as he navigates the trials and tribulations of the music industry alongside guitarist/producer PJ and flamboyant larger-than-life band manager Alfie in their journey to make it to the top of the musical foodchain. Featuring a myriad of colourful characters and original electronic rock tunes set against a cyberpunk-inspired futuristic backdrop. How will the group fare in this addictive pixel art adventure?

MiXE1 is an electronic rock band boasting a wide range of influences from pop through to metal. Passionate vocals, hooky melodies and synth layered backdrops make up the distinctive sound with all songs set in a futuristic city of the same name - neon dreams and haunting emotions. This is MiXE1.
From a solo project created in 2010 by Mike Evans (Vocals, Synths), MiXE1 has grown into a formidable creative proposition with the addition of Lee Towson (Guitars, Live Bass, Synths, Vocals) and Lee O’Brien (Drums, Synths, Samples). Similarly their sound has evolved and blossomed across EPs and a well-received debut album as electronic adventure has increasingly aligned with alternative and rapacious rock tenacity.
