Dimi Kaye - Team Sweatwave

Dimi Kaye is a Synthwave/Dreamwave producer from Ioannina, Greece and based in Oschersleben, Germany. His sound fuses mid tempo rhythms with synth chords and melodies that create a purely nostalgic and melancholic feeling. His melodic guitar solos add even more to the whole experience and are becoming his signature. The goal of his music is to bring back memories of a time long gone but not forgotten.

Disco 21

My parents told me that up until I was 3 months old we were living above a discotheque. I don't know if that's the reason for me loving music (I don't think it is), but it's a nice thing to mention.

Italo disco in the early '90s was super popular in Greece. I remember listening to the music on the radio, my uncle played it in his bar La Luna and my parents danced to it.

I have lots of beautiful memories from those summers back in the '90s, and the music of course played a huge role.

That's why as I in the past created an album that was a tribute to my uncle's bar La Luna (check it here if you haven't already : dimikaye.bandcamp.com/album/la-luna ), now I am releasing a tribute EP to the italo-disco music we used to listen back then, as the backdrop to the creation of so many beautiful memories.

I named this EP Disco 21 because that was the name of the disco my parents were living above when I was 3 months old.
