Crunch Pod Music Label family of international artists in releasing this special benefit compilation titled “IN THE THROES OF DEMOCRACY”. ALL proceeds from the sale will be donated to help and assist the humanitarian efforts of the ICRC for UKRAINE (International Committee of the Red Cross) and the WCK for UKRAINE (World Central Kitchen). The compilation features music from multiple talented international dark alternative artists and genres such as post-punk, rhythmic noise, industrial, dark wave, IDM, EBM, dark ambient and avant-garde electronics.
As we are all aware, we are now on the verge of a potential new world war. Sooner or later it’s effects, will be felt by all of us in every corner of the world. As the current large scale attack started by Vladimir Putin has brought war to the European continent in a scale not seen since WWII, it has already tragically cost many innocent lives in Ukraine, it is now also making victims of the large population of Russians who want peace and oppose this unjust war.
One of our own Crunch Pod family members is under threat for speaking out against this war simply for wanting to donate money from his music to help Ukraine. The following are sentiments shared by them and many of the Russian people that may soon find themselves behind a new iron curtain brought upon them by the tyranny of Putin.
“Putin's government threatens that it will consider treason any attempt to donate anything to Ukrainian humanitarian organizations.” (Treason in Russia carries a sentence of 20 years)
“everything is very wrong and uncertain these days. We can do almost nothing but just go to rallies and to be arrested and fined. This frustrates…We will really need de-Putinisation because decades of his propaganda spoiled a lot of minds. His regime also led to a total degradation of our culture, education, science, technology, law, state institutions, economic and even language in this country. And now he is threatening to the Globe with his shitty nuclear bombs. This bloody dog has tried to occupy a peaceful and almost unarmed Ukraine but even in this case, he has failed. So we are about to face the full weight of his repressions. Along with consequences of the fact that he has made the whole globe hate us. I'm very happy that my relative managed to emigrate to Poland a couple of years ago. Because this country is about to either disintegrate, or to turn into a real dystopian dictatorship.”
