Very interesting theatrical goth band, I really loved their first album of the early 80's when I got it by tape trading way back...  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UK_Decay

Only recently I heard their 2013 second album and it's VERY good!!!

I should try to help out with more info... soon...

They have interesting stuff to find out there... I should relisten... been a while...

Here was the 2013 second album comeback after 30 years... I've been enjoying it like heck recently. It's well done and has interesting production, weird violin and funk bass in with the thrashy punk.

My picks

This collection of early stuff starts pretty trad punk and gets weird, bauhaus -esque. Werewolf is a spooky 10 minute ride.

Playlist of first album, For Madmen Only. I quick browsed to remember why it caught my ear long ago and it's the jaggy post-punk sound.

There's some Peel Sessions that might be worth seeking. That's on this odds & demos comp I'd never heard of until now. Interesting.

Funny, they also did uncharacteristic, upbeat punk with a football team for charity. :)

So far I think I like the 2013 stuff the most like the album UK Decay ‎– New Hope For The Dead and the 7'' single UK Decay – Killer / Heavy Metal Jews.  The other stuff just sounds a bit dated and doesn't seem to have the best production sound-wise probably because it was the early eighties. They definitely have that early punk / goth rock vibe. The sound on the 2013 stuff is far better and the tracks are better too.

Yeah totally fair. I had nostalgia about my old tape collection... the old stuff is pretty of it's time. I heard it probably 20 years ago while digging deep and there wasn't a lot of the retro-refresh stuff coming out yet. The 2013 stuff sounds fresh and confident for an old band!
