Darkness On Demand - Dance Or Die (RIP) - Eectro, EBM from Berlin, Germany

Darkness on Demand is brand new project by 3 Dance or Die members (Gary Wagner, Falgalas and Chris L.), who have joined up to create very own EBM and Industrial style. Between old-school and contemporary electro, a past-but also future-oriented anthem is created that resurrects the marriage of electro music and catapults waver into a dramatic science fiction world.

You’ll notice the similarity in the abbreviated bandnames (DoD). Dance or Die, was a German electronic band formed in 1988 by Andreas Goldacker and Gary Wagner in Berlin. Falgalas (born Heiko Duus) joined the band in 1993, first for live touring, later as a full member. Chris L. (born Christian Lorenz) joined in 1998 for live performances. The band scored a ‘monster hit’ in the scene with the track “Psychoburbia” in 1992. Those were the golden days of electro.

German dark electro/darkwave band, formed in 1988 by Andreas Goldacker and Gary Wagner in Berlin.
Falgalas (born Heiko Duus) joined the band in 1993, first for live touring, later as full member. Chris L. (born Christian Lorenz) joined in 1998, so far only for live performances.
For some American versions of their records, they were renamed Do or Die by their label Machinery Records.

Belgium’s Alfa Matrix is well known to welcome cult musicians from the good old late 80’s dark electronic scene to their label roster: Berlin based artists Wagner and Falgalas join Alfa Matrix for the 3rd album of their latest project DARKNESS ON DEMAND.

In September 2023, comes DARKNESS ON DEMAND’s 3rd full length studio album aptly titled “Digital Outcast”, a major call for freedom of art & expression, heavily criticizing autocratic regimes, mass-media manipulations, freedom restrictions and all other excesses of our society reminding us how prophetic dystopian social science fiction novels like “Brave New World” or “1984” were…

Like Wagner explains it: “Our new album “Digital Outcast” is an invitation to reconnect with nature and reality, to escape from that digital world dominated by artificial social medias and credit card consumption. Our world has so much more to offer!”.

White Clouds EP

One of the most appreciated songs by their fans: “White Clouds” is this time reworked in a more upbeat club oriented “maxi version”.
