The Broken Connection

She may remember her past. She remembers the time when she was a world-renowned neuroengineer and a gifted psychiatrist. That she is the founder of The Connection project, a brain implant that was created to bring back her loved one, a police officer who lost his identity in an accident and is now known as the soulless defender of humanity. She remembers solving the consequences of one accident leading to another, an explosion that resulted in damage to the implant in her head. Perhaps she does remember, but now it doesn't matter. After all, the whole world is sick, and she must destroy it to heal it.
