It's been been really hard on us losing both our cats lately, especially our orange striped tabby: Freyja who passed away from brain cancer after losing her right eye to an infection right before her diagnosis this past June of this year 2024. We miss her so much because she was always so loving and caring of both of us.
Previously I lost my black and brown tortie cat Harley who was a rescue in Virginia back in 2013 only 4 years after I arrived here with here from Illinois to Tucson and I miss her badly. She also starved to death after suffering from cancer.
Losing dogs or cats that only live about a quarter of our lives can be really hard.

Freyja was the best girl
She would make sure I didn't oversleep for work (she always seemed to know what days were my workdays and what were my off days). She would also tell me to go to sleep when she knew I was tired and trying to do too much. She understood my play language, when I put my forelimbs down with my butt in the air, I was in the mood to play chase. We would take turns chasing and ambushing each other around the house. And her favorite game was the peekaboo game where we would sit on opposite corners of a wall, and take turns leaping at each other from around the corner. Or sometimes we would just throw paws at each other from around the corner.
