Likenesses to many legends in the broad categories of EBM/industrial/darkwave/electro/techno, some of whom have stayed with me for decades, others for a considerably shorter period of time – all still equally influential. Think of Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, Cabaret Voltaire, Kraftwerk, New Beat bands, early Ministry and Laibach. Obscure, murky and rough around the edges, as is life itself. A highly introspective and personal creation - made by myself, for myself.
This is New Dark Beat, the tune to which humankind is being led towards its inevitable doom. The virulent greed, malevolence and xenophobia of a few are spreading like a disease and condemning this whole planet to a slow death, scorched into oblivion by an eternal fire. Accepting this grim reality is only the first step in straying from that fateful course. Take a stand, the time is now. Or rather, was yesterday.
Track number three is dedicated to Florian Schneider, master of otherworldly speech synthesis and the use of vocoders. Hence the respectful absence of such human(like) utterances on this one.
