Hammerpuzzle's KING JOHN 2015 - Teaser
Hammerpuzzle's adaptation of Shakespeare's King John toured the south west of England in Spring 2015. Originally commissioned by Theatre Royal Bath, the 2015 tour was supported by Arts council England and BANES.

When the rule of a hedonistic king is questioned, rebellion ensues, culminating in the chilling attempt to commit an atrocity against a child, whose mother’s anguished grief cannot atone for her blinkered ambitions for her son.
A corrupt monarch faces an unruly court and fights to hold onto the crown at all costs through political intrigue and warmongering. Under Rosa Joshi’s muscular and visionary direction, King John features a cast of female and non-gender-binary performers—speaking directly to our current fractured political moment and bringing new meaning to Shakespeare’s powerful play about power itself.
