Monstrum Sepsis is the music project started in late 1996 between Paul J. Karlik and Robert P. Wentz. Both started writing music in the early 90s with four tracks and amiga music trackers. Rob is a classically trained pianist raised with moog synthesizers rattling the windows, while Paul's extensive sampling and audio mangling techniques brings a level of entropy to the mix for a unique experience.

100% pay what you want.
***Any money you spend on this release will be donated directly to Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA)***
New and old reconstructed and curated tracks with clear intent, some appearing for the first time with layers upon layers of voice samples removed to provide clarity to the already dense sonic compositions below. All of these selections have been retouched and repurposed with dedication directly to those on the front lines protecting their nation from power hungry invaders.
Included is an .XM module file for the song samisdata. The song was composed in 1998 by Paul and Rob of Monstrum Sepsis and like so many of our work it was composed in a tracker program called FastTracker. A modern FastTracker clone can be had for mac/windows/linux at 16-bits dot org.
This and all music on it is released creative-commons at no charge to you. if you sample, alter or remix please give credit and let me know, i'd love to hear.

Monstrum Sepsis is an electronic music act which was originally formed in 1996 when Paul Karlik and Rob Wentz met during their first weeks of attendance at the Illinois Institute of Art's Chicago campus while studying multimedia and computer animation. Both Paul and Rob were immediately inspired by each others work and interests, in particular the music each created both being computer musicians using various forms of computer tracker programs to sequence experimental industrial and electro/EBM influenced beats and song structures.

Paul and Rob immediately worked well together - Paul's whimsical aesthetics balanced Rob's retentive sequencing to create an inventive brew of electronic music. Rob was classically trained on piano at a young age with heavy influences from an older brother who surrounded him with Moog synthesizers in the 80s while Paul was raised with artistic parents who influenced him at a young age to follow artistic intuitions. Both grew up influenced by a very wide range of bands and musicians: Skinny Puppy, Peter Gabriel/Genesis, Rick Wakeman/Yes, Philip Glass, The Residents, Chris & Cosey, Walter Carlos, Vince Clark/Erasure/Yaz and Sonic Youth to name just a few.
