Remembering Boole
« on: August 15, 2022, 04:39:08 PM »

In 1996, boole was formed by br0d and MAB in Baltimore, Maryland, at Loyola College. After doing a few comps and playing a few shows in the local area, boole relocated to scenic Washington, DC. Sonically, boole represents elements of old style EBM, trance, rhythmic industrial, electro, jazz, funk, disco, and other popular forms. Their music is self-professed "synthtrance," and hybridization will always be a predominant aspect of their music. For better or worse, beyond the staple elements of beat and melody, you will never know exactly what to expect from boole, because boole's background leaves them no choice but to innovate. Both formative members come from jazz and classical performance backgrounds first and foremost, with later excursions into punk, thrash, metal, hardcore, and of course trance, techno, and G/I. ALL members are driven by a deep and abiding love for music, just like you. Chances are, if you're not currently a fan, then you've probably heard a boole song and not even known it.

Members: Brad Barkett, Mike Barkett, Ian A. Hall, Inox, JJ Barkett, Lauren Julien
