My name is Erk Aicrag, artist, author, composer, music producer, singer but I prefer to call myself "killer of silence", I was born in the chaotic and culturally rich Mexico City and since 1993 I have been active in the worldwide underground music scene with my bands HOCICO and Rabia Sorda RABIA SORDA, with whom I have been fortunate to release many albums, toured a big part of the world and experience life from a very special perspective.
"Until My Throat Bleeds" is the mantra I use before I go on stage, my battle cry, I repeat it to myself as many times as it takes to push my body and mind to the limit for a couple of hours.
During the onset of the pandemic in 2020, as the world as we knew it began to rapidly transform, I used the same spirit contained in "Until My Throat Bleeds" to motivate me to write a book!. But a book that was unlike any I had ever held in my hands before.
Until My Throat Bleeds includes a selection of poems, short stories, thoughts and unpublished lyrics that have lived inside me for several years. The book is magnificently illustrated with exclusive pictures and artwork from beginning to end (every single page is a piece of visual art) and is printed in full color, plus it comes accompanied by a soundtrack titled “Sounds Like Razors”, that I composed exclusively to accompany the reader as he/she moves through the pages.
Writing has given meaning to my life in the most difficult times and publishing a book has been one of my dreams since I was a teenager. Now finally, with the support of friends, fans and the people I love, I can now share it with the world!
I think the written word is art, not "content". Nowadays having a book in your hands is an act of rebellion and that's why I want to allow you to spend some time with my words, far from the madness of social networks.

Soy Erk Aicrag, artista, autor, compositor, productor musical, cantante, pero a mí me gusta llamarme a mi mismo "asesino del silencio". Nací en la caótica y culturalmente rica Ciudad de México. Desde 1993 he estado activo en la escena musical underground mundial con mis bandas HOCICO y Rabia Sorda RABIA SORDA, con quienes he sido afortunado de editar muchos discos, recorrer gran parte del mundo en tour y experimentar la vida desde una perspectiva muy especial.
"Hasta Que Mi Garganta Sangre" es el mantra que utilizo antes de salir al escenario, mi grito de guerra, me lo repito tantas veces como sea necesario para llevar mi cuerpo y mi mente al límite durante un par de horas.
Durante el inicio de la pandemia en 2020, cuando el mundo tal como lo conocíamos empezó a transformarse rápidamente, utilicé el mismo espíritu contenido en "Hasta Que Mi Garganta Sangre" para motivarme a escribir un libro. Pero un libro que fuera diferente a todos los que yo haya tenido antes en mis manos.
"Hasta Que Mi Garganta Sangre" incluye una selección de poemas, relatos cortos, pensamientos y letras inéditas que han vivido dentro de mí durante varios años. El libro está magníficamente ilustrado con imágenes exclusivas y material gráfico de principio a fin (cada página es una pieza de arte visual) y está impreso a todo color, además viene acompañado de un soundtrack titulado "Sounds Like Razors", que he compuesto exclusivamente para acompañar al lector mientras se mueve por las páginas.
Escribir le ha dado sentido a mi vida en los momentos más difíciles y publicar un libro ha sido uno de mis sueños desde que era adolescente. Ahora por fin, con el apoyo de amigos, fans y de la gente que quiero, puedo compartirlo con el mundo!
Creo que la palabra escrita es arte, no "contenido". Hoy en día tener un libro en las manos es un acto de rebeldía y por eso quiero permitirle al lector pasar un rato con mis palabras, lejos de la locura de las redes sociales.
