Zero Call - Dark/New Wave/Synth Disco, Electro, Synthwave from Perugia, Italy

Behind Zero Call is Italian producer Andrea P. As the musician himself describes his project, Zero Call was born from the need to communicate, through electronic music, the social contradictions of the past and anxieties. It is about generating sounds through which to project a dark future, in which large corporations control and monitor all aspects of man's life from his birth, creating a cruel dependency. A dystopia in which the human being does not come out well.

Andrea is a super quiet boy, apparently shy but self-confident, who when he takes the stage behind his machinery transforms into something alien, as if a teleportation projected him into a past dimension. His show (which obviously replicates the essence of much of his latest studio work, namely Fears & Dreams Of Living Machines) is made of typically eighties synths, supported by a straight case and embellished with very recognizable samples and expertly inserted between the various songs; everything is supported by an effective ad hoc visual experience, which makes the live performance incredibly contemporary and engaging. I started producing electronics after playing as a keyboard player in an indie rock band. The musical feeling with the drummer led us to experiment with electronic sounds outside the rock band discourse, in the wake of the very first retro-wave; here was born the duo Zero Call. In that period, mid 2011, we had a strong support from Flavio Mergotti , founder of Turin-based Starquake Records, one of the most active independent French Touch labels in those years. The following year we then released the EP “A Struggle Between Right or Wrong”.
