Insect Machine; a project which dives into the Experimental/ Industrial genres. The project’s EP, God Control, welds Earth-shattering synths to create music that is a technical work of art.

Paul Anthony Gardner was born on a cold, winter’s day on December 3, 1974 in West Monroe, Louisiana. His great-grandmother told him stories of his 4th cousins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Mickey Gilley, which began his life-long interest in music. His father, Rick Gardner, was transferred repeatedly all over the state, taking his family with him. This meant that Paul transferred schools over and over through his childhood; leading to isolation and problems with other students. He had to learn to take up for himself both verbally and physically, and his music became his great escape.
After graduation, Paul joined the cover band, Rumblefish in 1992 as their drummer. While he attended Northwestern State University, he began recording music in his dorm on his 4-track Tascam recorder as a solo project. He returned home and joined bands such as Deadman Circus, Speed Maggot, Strychnine, and Relentless Torture.

Presently, Paul is working on his solo project, The Insect Machine; a project which dives into the Experimental/ Industrial genres. The project’s upcoming album, Prototype, welds Earth-shattering synths to create music that is a technical work of art.
